Abstract

A method and a system for the optimal use of at least one variable, difficult to control energy source is described. In known energy systems with an energy source that is difficult to control, it is customary to couple one or more synchronous alternating current generators, which can be connected to an autonomous alternating current network with a rectifier and an inverter. The AC network is connected to a second synchronous AC generator that is mechanically connected to a controllable auxiliary machine, such as a diesel engine, is connected to be uncoupled. In order to keep the frequency of the network constant in the case of an oversupply of services or also in the event of a decreased range of services, an additional usable consumer (2) is supplied with such an amount of energy from the autonomous AC network (5) that the frequency of the network (5) remains constant. The excess energy to be dissipated can be used, for example, for hot water preparation or for the electrolysis of water, combined with the use of fuel cells, or for charging batteries or pumping up water.
