Measured current-dependent, by this current powered signal generator, and application to current relays

Abstract

Abstract Device for delivering an output signal dependent on at least one parameter of an electrical datum current, comprising an electronic circuit (2) for formulating this signal. It further comprises, in series between its input terminals (6) and (7), a power-supply circuit (1) and a measuring resistor (3) of magnitude R; the power-supply circuit (1) behaves like a voltage source for the formulating circuit (2) and, the latter comprises two measuring terminals (12) and (13) by which it is mounted in parallel with the resistor (3) and between which it introduces an impedance (Ze) much greater than (R). This device which can be used as a homopolar current relay secures its power supply from the datum current. <IMAGE>
