Abstract

Abstract Translated from German Die Strahlendetektorreihe ist modular aufgebaut. The radiation detector series has a modular structure. Each module contains two detachably assembled parts (70, 72), one (72) of which has a plurality of spaced apart plates (82) for radiation collimation. The second part includes a printed circuit board, a chip with a row of semiconductor diodes arranged on the printed circuit board, and a plurality of scintillation crystals (84) arranged on the semiconductor chip, each crystal (84) lying on a diode. The signals from the diodes are fed to signal processing means with the aid of a cable (95) which can be connected to or detached from the row of diodes in a simple manner. Improved spatial resolution has been achieved and assembly and replacement for repairs have been made easier.
