Abstract

The invention relates to a plug contact, consisting of a female part and a matching male part, and of a latching device with at least one latching boss which is resiliently held on a tongue and which tongue is held pointing on the plug part pointing in the longitudinal direction thereof, and a counter-latching piece on the other plug part. into which the latching boss of the tongue engages when the plug connection is made. The aim of the invention is to establish a plug contact, the plug parts of which are optimally protected against mechanical stress and contamination. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the tongue (30) is seated in the protected interior (26) of a socket body (23) of the one plug-in part (27) and the counter-locking piece as an inwardly directed notch (22) matching one on the tongue (30) Corresponding inward towards the load-bearing plug part (27), locking boss (31) is attached to the underside of a mating piece (21), which mating piece when female (27) and male (16) plug parts are plugged into an inner slot (33) of the socket body ( 23) can be inserted between the tongue (30) and the circumference of the load-bearing plug-in part (27), the width (B) of which corresponds to the thickness of the mating piece (21) except for the locking boss (31) attached to the top of the tongue.
