Measuring head for a magnetometer and its use in a magnetometer
Abstract
The invention relates to magnetometers which make it possible to measure a magnetic field by the Faraday effect in a thin layer of YIG (113). It consists in taking a layer of YIG (113) sufficiently thick to allow a multimode transmission of the polarized light beam as well as the entry and the exit of this beam by the edge of the layer. It makes it possible to produce a magnetometer head whose elements are integrated on a substrate (102) and whose volume is of the order of a cubic centimeter.
