Abstract

Abstract n endoscope system embodying this invention comprises an endoscope (2) provided with passage (22, 24, 26) through which air and water are supplied and sucked and pumps (34) for conducting air and water through the corresponding passages. The control section (10) of the endoscope (2) is provided with switches (46, 48, 50) for generating signals to freely preset the flow rates of air and water. Tubes (22, 36, 42) for connecting pumps to the air passages are provided with valves for controlling the flow rates of air and water. The valves are opened by a servo motor driven by a servo motor drive circuit in accordance with the contents of signals issued from the switches.
