Abstract
Abstract A power driven rotatable antenna cable storage drum (16) has a driven worm gear (18,20) formed circumferentially about one end of its periphery. The drum is supported for rotation on two axially aligned equal diameter posts (32,34). One of the post (32) is integral with the housing and the other post (34) is integral with the housing cover (12). The cover post (34) is spaced from and radially aligned with the driven worm gear.

An antenna cable storage drum assembly having a housing (10) of generally cup shape defining an open face, characterized in that the housing has an inwardly extending centrally disposed hollow cylindrical post (32) defining a generally annular space and terminating in a web,.a cover (12) assembled with said housing to span the open face thereof to form a cavity (28) and having a centrally disposed hollow cylindrical post (34) aligned with the first mentioned post (32) and terminating in a web seated against said first mentioned web, a cable storage drum (16) disposed in said cavity and rotatably journaled on the outer cylindrical surface of said aligned posts, and a fastener (36) extending through the webs for securing said assembly together, the fastener (36) being securable by access through the hollow cylindrical posts.
