Fully insulated clamp for insulated conductors
Abstract
Abstract A fully insulated terminal used for making contact with insulated leads, having two electrically insulating jaws (1, 2), clamped together by means of a screw (4) and having at least one contact web (15, 23) each in each jaw, has at least one pocket-type depression (9, 21) each, next to the side of the contact web facing outwards. A sleeve (26), extending the channel for the passage of the screw out over the surface facing the other jaw, is integrally formed on the one jaw, which sleeve engages in the passage opening of the other jaw in the assembled state of the terminal. A raised wall (10) of one jaw has a peak gripping over the other jaw and those parts (12) of this wall which cover the access to the channels holding the leads, are designed such that they can be broken off. <IMAGE>
