Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 28
Claim 1
Independent Claim 72 words
A process for the preparation of a product comprising a tubular portion which process comprising introducing into an electrostatic field a liquid comprising ` a fibreizable material, whereby the material is caused to produce fibres which tend to be drawn to a collector charged relative to said fibres and upon which they are deposited to form said portion, said electrostatic field being distorted by the presence of at least one auxiliary electrode.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 72 words
A process for the preparation of a product comprising a tubular portion which process comprising introducing into an electrostatic field a liquid comprising ` a fibreizable material, whereby the material is caused to produce fibres which tend to be drawn to a collector charged relative to said fibres and upon which they are deposited to form said portion, said electrostatic field being distorted by the presence of at least one auxiliary electrode.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 14 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the collector is of cylindrical shape.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
A process according to claim 1 or 2 in which the product is a tube.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 39 words
A process according to claim 1 in which at least one auxiliary electrode is located so that the collector is positioned substantially between said auxiliary electrode and the point at which the liquid is introduced into the electrostatic field.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 22 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the auxiliary electrode carries a charge of the same sign as does the collector.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the auxiliary electrode carries a-charge smaller than that on the collector.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
A process according to claim 6 in which the auxiliary electrode carries a charge between 2 and 8 KV less than that on the collector.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 39 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the distortion of the electrostatic field is such that the relative disposition of the deposited fibres upon the collector is altered from that obtained in the absence of the auxiliary electrode.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 40 words
A process according to claim 8 in which the auxiliary electrode is so positioned and charged that the proportion of fibres deposited in substantially circumferential disposition is increased relative to those so deposited in the absence of said auxiliary electrode.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 30 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the disposition of fibres deposited upon the collector is such that upon removal of the collector the tubular portion reduces in diameter.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim lO in which the reduction in internal diameter is greater than 10%.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim 10 in which the reduction in diameter is between 10 and 25%.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim 10 in which the reduction in diameter is between 25 and 40%.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 35 words
A product comprising a tubular portion comprising fibres, said tubular portion having been formed upon a former and said fibres being so disposed that upon removal of the former the tubular portion reduces in diameter.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 35 words
A product comprising a tubular portion comprising fibres, said tubular portion having been formed upon a former and said fibres being so disposed that upon removal of the former the tubular portion reduces in diameter.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 33 words
A product comprising a tubular portion comprising both longitudinally and circumferentially disposed fibres, the disposition of said fibres being such that not more than 25% of them lie predominantly in any one direction.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 33 words
A product comprising a tubular portion comprising both longitudinally and circumferentially disposed fibres, the disposition of said fibres being such that not more than 25% of them lie predominantly in any one direction.
Claim 19
Dependent Claim 34 words
A product comprising a tubular portion, said tubular portion comprising fibres deposited upon a charged collector, the field around said charged collector having been distorted by the presence of at least one auxiliary electrode.
Claim 20
Dependent Claim 34 words
A product comprising a tubular portion, said tubular portion comprising fibres deposited upon a charged collector, the field around said charged collector having been distorted by the presence of at least one auxiliary electrode.
Claim 21
Dependent Claim 29 words
A product according to claim 16 in which the fibre disposition in the product is different from that which - is obtained in the absence of the auxiliary electrode.
Claim 22
Dependent Claim 25 words
A product according to claim 17 comprising a proportion of substantially circumferentially disposed fibres higher than that obtained in the absence of the auxiliary electrode.
Claim 23
Dependent Claim 59 words
A tube of internal diameter of between 1 and 30 mm comprising a plurality of fibres of diameter 0.1 to 25 mp, at least a proportion of said fibres lying longitudinally to the long axis of the tube and at least a proportion lying circumferentially, and not more than 25% of said fibres lying predominantly in any one direction.
Claim 24
Dependent Claim 59 words
A tube of internal diameter of between 1 and 30 mm comprising a plurality of fibres of diameter 0.1 to 25 mp, at least a proportion of said fibres lying longitudinally to the long axis of the tube and at least a proportion lying circumferentially, and not more than 25% of said fibres lying predominantly in any one direction.
