Adhesive support and its utilization
Abstract
The invention relates to an adhesive holder for measured quantity consumers (20) that require a membrane, in particular transcutaneous oxygen electrodes, with an adhesive carrier that has at least partially adhesive surfaces on both sides for gluing to the application surface of the transducer on the one hand and for gluing the adhesive carrier together with the transducer (20). on the other hand at the measuring location (18). Oxygen electrodes are provided with an electrolyte on the electrode side and sealed off by means of an oxygen-permeable membrane (3), the thickness of which is usually between 6 and 30 µm. This creates a complete polarographic measuring cell. In principle, adhesive rings that are also used for the rapid application of EKG electrodes can be used to fix the measuring cells to the skin of a patient. According to the invention, the membrane (3) for the measurement transducer (20) is part of the adhesive medium (1). The adhesive carrier (1) is preferably formed as an adhesive ring from two superimposed films (5, 7) which are adhesive on both sides, between which the membrane (3) is arranged. The invention makes the handling of such sensors (201, which require a membrane) particularly easy (FIG. 1).
