Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to an adjustment device for a flexurally elastic supporting element (4) of a backrest for adapting the lap support and/or support to the hollow of the back with an arching device which contains a spring and with an actuation device. According to the invention, at least one spring (20, 35; 21, 38) is arranged in the force transmission path for the adjustment of the arching. Preferably, a spring (20, 35) is arranged between one part of the supporting element (4) and the force transmitting part of the arching device and/or one spring (21, 38) is arranged at the free end of the force transmitting part of the arching device behind the actuation device. <IMAGE>
