Abstract

Abstract A transparent interception container (5), is installed in the conveying system (2) in front of prim filter (3) retaining bacteria and viruses. The container provides a receptacle for drawn-up fluids, e.g. blood, viscous secretions, mucus and similar. V valve mechanism (6) is provided on or in the container to close the conveying system when the container is full. An end switch is provided to interrupt the electromotor driving the vacuum pump when the container is full. The container is easily exchangeable. The suction appliance (1) includes an intermediate filter protecting the electromoter, an active carbon filter reducing smell and ventilation filter approaching nearly 100 per cent filtering efficiency. USE- Operational area for laser or h.f. surgery.
