Method and arrangement for detecting the functional states in a television set

Abstract

Abstract In a method for detecting the functional states in a television set with wireless digitally-coded remote control, it is provided, in order to achieve a particularly simple installation without intervention in the television set, that the switching state remote control signal is received, decoded and supplied to a detection and retrieval arrangement by means of a separate receiver which is independent of the television set. A detection and retrieval arrangement (7) intended for carrying out this method is distinguished by the fact that it exhibits a separate receiving device (4) and, following the latter, a decoding arrangement (8), the separate receiving device (4) preferably exhibiting its own housing. <IMAGE>
