Rapid, loom setting=up procedure - by simultaneous installation of warp beams and weaving tackle from opposite ends of loom
Abstract
Abstract In a process for installing warp beams and weaving tackle in a loom using an elevated warp beam, the warps are drawn in the reed and healds, and the droppers are set, away from the loom. The ends are then clamped and cut between the beam and the weaving tackle, and the weaving tackle installed in the loom from the front whilst the warp beams are being mounted from the rear, after which the cut ends are knotted together. A mobile, adjustable trolley suitable for handling and installing the weaving tackle is also claimed. Warp changes are accomplished quickly and simply, with a minimum of loom down-time, without the necessity of removing the feed rollers for the elevated beam.
