Abstract

Abstract A specialised integrated circuit is used which contains in array of transmission line matching resistors in a convenient plug-in form. The resistors are constructed using thick film technology. The small flat plug-in units are mounted on an insulating substrate (1) and have arrays of contacts (7) on both sides, which are connected via suitable film resistors (8) with common plug terminals (3) at the bottom of the units. The units can be plugged into a spring contact socket to provide multiple transmission line matching or termination in certain telecommunications applications. The plug terminals (3) are suited to attachment to printed circuits.
