Plastics moulded drawer with inner and outer guides - has profiled guide section providing reinforcement against bending stresses

Abstract

Abstract The plastics moulded drawer is provided with a roof-shaped guide section along the upper third of the side wall for engagement in an outer guide, e.g. slide or roller guide. This roof-shape pref. includes an angle in the range of 90 deg. to 120 deg. The outer arm (5) projects downwardly relative to the side wall. The upper part (7) of the latter runs perpendicular above the apex of the guide section whilst the lower part (6) runs straight down to adjoin the inner arm (4). Any bending forces acting on the side walls are partly taken up by the guide section and partly transferred to the outer guide so that the positive engagement between the guide section and outer guide is the stronger the greater the load on the drawer.
