SAFETY DEVICE FOR THE WIRE FEEDING OF STAINLESS PAPERS
Abstract
The invention relates to a safety device for the wire feed of stitching devices, in particular for stitching devices in rotary printing presses, in which the wire drawn from the wire spool by means of a transport device is monitored by an electrical contactor that has a higher functional reliability than the prior art and thus prevents malfunctions in the stitching device caused by jamming due to wire irregularities by shutting down the machine in good time. The object of the invention is to create an electrical safety device that reliably ensures the shutdown of the machine, particularly in the event of wire knots and bends, by making electrical contact with a feeler lever resting on the wire. The electrical contactor consists of a holder to which a contact frame is attached and, insulated within the contact frame and projecting through it, at least one feeler lever made of a wire that rests on the stitching wire under spring force and closes an electrical circuit when the contact frame is touched.
