Chair support for receiving the seat surface of a chair in a rotatable and vertically adjustable manner
Abstract
Abstract The chair support for receiving the seat surface of a swivel chair on a foot part in a vertically adjustable manner comprises an outer tube (1) whose one end is designed as a conically constructed insertion part in the chair foot. Mounted in the outer tube is an adjusting tube (8) which is displaceable axially along a threaded spindle (13), is rotatable together with said spindle, and whose conically tapered end, projecting out of the outer tube engages in a hub (11) on the seat surface. To avoid a free or random rotary movement between the threaded spindle (13) and the adjusting tube (8), a nut (14) is arranged between said two components, which nut is firmly connected to the adjusting tube, is in frictional engagement with the threaded spindle, and whose thread is provided with elastically flexible parts (14') which are prestressed towards the threaded spindle. The vertical adjustment takes place by the spindle being held on a handle (23) and the seat surface being turned in accordance with the desired direction of vertical adjustment. <IMAGE>
