Abstract
Abstract Stable conc. soln. of acid dyestuff is prepd. by dissolving dyestuff in water-soluble organic solvent in presence of emulsifier and PVP at elevated temp. pref. 60 - 130 degrees C and then cooling soln. Dye baths, padding liquors or printing pastes prepd. from this prepn. are suitable for dyeing/printing polyamides, esp. for continuous pad and steam dyeing of synthetic polyamide carpets. Solns. are stable in storage, do not separate within usual temp. range and are easily metered. Solubility of valuable dyestuffs can be increased so that deeper shades than usual are obtd.
