Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 69 words
A pipe elbow adapted to change the direction of flow of fluid-containing abrasive material in suspension, comprising a pair of half-sections of different radiuses, longitudinally secured together at the sides of the elbow to form joints of constant and equal radius, a wear-resistant lining located at least in the half-section of greater radius, and means at each end of the pipe elbow for connection with an adjacent pipe section.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 69 words
A pipe elbow adapted to change the direction of flow of fluid-containing abrasive material in suspension, comprising a pair of half-sections of different radiuses, longitudinally secured together at the sides of the elbow to form joints of constant and equal radius, a wear-resistant lining located at least in the half-section of greater radius, and means at each end of the pipe elbow for connection with an adjacent pipe section.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 33 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 1, wherein each half-section is provided with two longitudinal side flanges extend-ing outwardly, and further comprising means for securing each pair of mating side flanges together.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 56 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 2, wherein one side flange of each pair is provided with a plurality of spaced openings, and wherein the other side flange of the same pair has a plurality of hooks adapted to extend through said openings, and wherein said securing means comprises an elongated element engaging said hooks.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 54 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 1, wherein each end of the pipe elbow includes an integral flange extending outwardly and wherein said means for connecting the pipe elbow to an adjacent pipe section, comprises a clamping ring installed over said end flange and adapted to be secured to said adjacent pipe section.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 40 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 4, wherein said clamping ring is cut transversely at one point to permit installation over the end flange and the two ends of said clamping ring secured together by means of a joint.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 27 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 4, wherein said clamp-ing ring is made in two parts, which are secured together once installed over the end flange.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 29 words
A pipe elbow as defined in claim 2, further comprising a deflecting plate mounted in said pipe and longitudinally secured at the edge thereof between said longitudinal side flanges.
