Abstract
Abstract The pocket computer is preprogrammed to guide the user through a series of exercises involving given muscles needed for any particular sport. The computer indicates the muscles being worked, the body movement (= the exercise), the number of repetitions, and the equipment and weights needed. It may also specify the length of rest between successive exercises. The gymnasium's instructor sets the programme to be followed by the user and only he can change it. The computer is intended as a guide and as an incentive to improve performance.
