Abstract

Abstract For the non-contact remote identification or checking of one or more access authorizations, a data carrier is used, which contains a microprocessor, a transmission/reception unit, a display 8, a read-write memory and a power source 7 and which is provided with a picture 5 of the owner. The data carrier is brought close to a check station in order to check and, if appropriate, change the data. For convenient handling, fastening means 12 are provided on the data carrier for fixing the latter to the person so there is no risk of loss. The data carrier is preferably designed like a wrist-watch and additionally contains an electronic timepiece. <IMAGE>
