Abstract A HEAD ASSEMBLY HAVING A NOZZLE FOR DISPENSING A THERMAL INSULATING MATERIAL IS SUPPORTED AT A DISPENSING STATION AND A DUAL-PURPOSE DEVICE IS PROVIDED AND USED FOR SUPPORTING AND MOVING STRAIGHT RIGID MEMBERS IN A RECTILINEAR PATH PAST THE DISPENSING STATION SO THAT AN OPEN CHANNEL IN EACH MEMBER MAY BE FILLED BY GRAVITY WITH THE THERMAL INSULATING MATERIAL. A GUIDE ASSEMBLY IS ALSO PROVIDED AND ADJUSTED SO THAT MEMBERS OF IRREGULAR CROSSSECTIONAL CONFIGURATION MAY BE EASILY GUIDED ALONG THE RECTILINEAR PATH.
