Abstract THERMOSTABILITY RANGE OF MICELLAR DISPERSIONS USEFUL TO RECOVER CRUDE OIL IN A SECONDARY OR A TERTIARY OIL RECOVERY PROCESS CAN BE SHIFTED TO HIGHER TEMPERATURES BY INCREASING THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF THE SURFACTANT USED TO OBTAIN THE MICELLAR DISPERSION. THESE DISPERSIONS ARE ESPECIALLY USEFUL IN FLOODING SUBTERRANEAN FORMATIONS WHEREIN THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 80% F.
