An electrochemical cell according to claim 1 wherein the Li x CoO 2 cathode consists of a mixture of about 80 weight percent Li x CoO 2 , about 10 weight percent carbon diluent and about 10 weight percent Teflon binder roll pressed onto aluminum substrates and sintered in a vacuum oven at 280° C. for 1 hour.
