Abstract
Abstract A connector assembly including a modified contact is disclosed for connecting a first electrical device to a second electrical device. In a first embodiment, the connector assembly includes a tool necessary to press-fit the connector to the second electrical device. In a second embodiment, the connector assembly includes two connectors that mate in such a manner so as to render the modified contact unusable if the two connectors are unmated.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
109 words
A single use electrical connector assembly, comprising: a first electrical connector comprising a first housing and a standard conductive contact; a second electrical connector comprising a second housing, a standard conductive contact and a modified conductive contact; wherein the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are configured to mate such that the modified conductive contact of the second electrical connector is engaged with the standard conductive contact of the first electrical connector; and wherein unmating the second electrical connector from the first electrical connector causes the modified conductive contact of the second electrical connector to be permanently deformed such that the second electrical connector is rendered unusable.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
