Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 19
Claim 1
Independent Claim 88 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant into a jawbone of a patient, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a base having a plurality of male projections circumferentially disposed around the base and projecting away from the distal end, and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the base and being concentric with the body and having an elongated cylindrical configuration with two resilient legs that extend adjacent and parallel to each other.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 88 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant into a jawbone of a patient, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a base having a plurality of male projections circumferentially disposed around the base and projecting away from the distal end, and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the base and being concentric with the body and having an elongated cylindrical configuration with two resilient legs that extend adjacent and parallel to each other.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
The dental driving tool of claim 1 in which the legs are separated by a space and have a length longer than the male projections.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
The dental driving tool of claim 2 in which the legs have an enlarged distal end.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
The dental driving tool of claim 1 in which six male projections extend around the base.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
The dental driving tool of claim 4 in which the male projections are evenly spaced.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
The dental driving tool of claim 4 in which the male projections have a polygonal shape.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 14 words
The dental driving tool of claim 6 in which the male projections are rectangular.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 90 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant with an axial bore, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a base portion having a plurality of male projections evenly spaced around the base portion and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the distal end for engaging the axial bore of the dental implant and having a cylindrical configuration with an elongated body portion and a distal end that has a diameter larger than the body portion.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 90 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant with an axial bore, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a base portion having a plurality of male projections evenly spaced around the base portion and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the distal end for engaging the axial bore of the dental implant and having a cylindrical configuration with an elongated body portion and a distal end that has a diameter larger than the body portion.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 26 words
The dental driving tool of claim 8 in which the central engaging member has an elongated cylindrical configuration that engages the axial bore of the implant.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 21 words
The dental driving tool of claim 8 in which the central engaging member extends from the center of the base portion.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 18 words
The dental driving tool of claim 8 in which the male projections extend around the central engaging member.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 29 words
The dental driving tool of claim 8 in which the central engaging member extends concentrically with the base portion and includes two resilient legs parallel and adjacent each other.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 81 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant into a jawbone of a patient, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a plurality of male projections circumferentially disposed about the distal end, and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the distal end and having an elongated body portion with a length longer than the male projections and distal end with a diameter larger than the body portion.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 81 words
A dental driving tool for driving a dental implant into a jawbone of a patient, the driving tool comprising: an elongated body having a distal end with an engagement feature, the engagement feature including a plurality of male projections circumferentially disposed about the distal end, and a central engaging member extending outwardly from the distal end and having an elongated body portion with a length longer than the male projections and distal end with a diameter larger than the body portion.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 18 words
The dental driving tool of claim 13 in which the male projections extend around the central engaging member.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 25 words
The dental driving tool of claim 13 in which the male projections are evenly spaced around the central engaging member and have a rectangular shape.
Claim 19
Dependent Claim 24 words
The dental driving tool of claim 13 in which the elongated body has a circular groove that is the weakest cation along the body.
