Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing a tibial osteotomy to correct misalignment of the knee joint. The apparatus comprises an arcuate implant, a temporary chock and an insertion tray which facilitates the packing of bone growth material in the implant. In the method, preoperative evaluation includes a balancing of the lateral push pull forces through the knee before selecting the implant so that a balanced load through the knee is achieved.
