Abstract
Abstract A method is disclosed for processing PM signals to be optionally applied to an accumulator PM data module for further analysis including the steps of monitoring first and second transmission line channels to detect events, generating first and second PM signals in response to the events, receiving the first and second PM signals in first and second delay modules, the first and second delay modules having first and second module values therein, and optionally applying, responsive to the second PM signal, the first module values to the accumulator PM data module so as to acquire PM data for collection, storage and analysis.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
102 words
A method for processing PM signals to be applied to an accumulator PM data module for further analysis comprising: monitoring first and second transmission line channels to detect events; generating first and second PM signals in response to the events; receiving the first and second PM signals in first and second delay modules, the first and second delay modules having first and second module values therein; and applying, in accordance with a discard state and responsive to the second PM signal, the first module values to the accumulator PM data module so as to acquire PM data for collection, storage and analysis.
Claim 2
Independent Claim
102 words
A method for processing PM signals to be applied to an accumulator PM data module for further analysis comprising: monitoring first and second transmission line channels to detect events; generating first and second PM signals in response to the events; receiving the first and second PM signals in first and second delay modules, the first and second delay modules having first and second module values therein; and applying, in accordance with a discard state and responsive to the second PM signal, the first module values to the accumulator PM data module so as to acquire PM data for collection, storage and analysis.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
33 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the receiving step comprises providing the first and second PM signals representative of first and second PM signal values to a first and second delay module queue.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
48 words
The method of claim 2 wherein the optionally applying step comprises: determining a state of the second delay module queue after the second PM signal value is received; and applying the first module values to the accumulator PM data module, responsive to the second delay module queue state.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
21 words
The method of claim 3 wherein the determining step comprises checking whether the second module values include consecutive "ones" or "zeroes."
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
28 words
The method of claim 4 further comprising the step of transitioning the second delay queue out of the discard state when the second module values include consecutive "ones."
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
27 words
The method of claim 4 further comprising the step of transitioning the second delay queue into the discard state when the second module values include consecutive "zeroes."
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
25 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the second delay module is a controlling delay module and the first delay module is a controlled delay module.
