Abstract
Abstract A cymbal made of a sound producing a plate which includes a plurality of linear tonal grooves. The tonal grooves are positioned on the top and/or bottom surface of the cymbal. The tonal grooves extend substantially from the center of the cymbal and/or from a point spaced from the center of the cymbal. The tonal grooves extend substantially to the edge of the cymbal and/or extend to a point which is spaced from the edge of the cymbal.
