Abstract Metal compound of formula [I] which is excellent in charge control or charge-enhancing property, and toner for developing electrostatic images and powdery paint for electrostatic painting incorporating thereof: wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R1 and R2, R2 and R3, and R3 and R4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; M represents a metal; m represents an integer of 3 or more; n represents an integer of 2 or more.
