Abstract
Abstract A call-setup method in a digital cellular radio communication system determines a plurality of parameters defining the current state of the system. By evaluating and combining these parameters into a communication resource request, a communication resource that best matches the request may be allocated in order to optimize system resource usage and/or service quality.
