Abstract

Abstract An ink composition for ink jet recording is provided which can meet many property requirements for an ink composition used in ink jet recording and, in addition, can yield a good image on a recording medium having a layer comprising a water-soluble resin. An ink jet recording method using the same is also provided. An ink composition comprising a pigment as a colorant, an anionic surfactant having a polyoxyethylene group, a dispersant, and water is used to record an image on a recording medium having a layer comprising a water-soluble resin by ink jet recording.
