Abstract
Abstract The processor card assembly of the present invention includes a processor card, a thermal plate and a cover with locking latches. The thermal plate and the cover form a case for housing the processor card. The locking latches are used to latch the processor card assembly to a retention apparatus for securing the processor card assembly, such that the processor card will remain connected to a receiving connector of a motherboard, under a variety of shock and vibration conditions. In some embodiments, the complementary fastening features of the thermal plate and the cover are temper resistance.
