Abstract
Abstract This invention deals with a method for transmitting data across a high-speed communicaitons network. More specifically, it deals with the method of approximating an optimal window size for transmitting information across a high-speed communications network. This optimal window size is determined as a function of the processing delay at each node of the network, the capacity of each link, the number of servers in the network and the round trip propagation delay.
