Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 55 words
A kit of parts comprising: a first member which is an embolic composition comprising a biocompatible polymer having an equilibrium water content of less than about 15% water, a biocompatible solvent and a contrast agent; and a second member which is a needle selected from the group consisting of a puncture needle and spinal needle.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 55 words
A kit of parts comprising: a first member which is an embolic composition comprising a biocompatible polymer having an equilibrium water content of less than about 15% water, a biocompatible solvent and a contrast agent; and a second member which is a needle selected from the group consisting of a puncture needle and spinal needle.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 49 words
The kit of parts according to claim 1 wherein said biocompatible polymer is selected from the group consisting of cellulose acetates, ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers, polyalkyl(C 1 -C 6 ) acrylates, polyalkyl alkacrylates wherein the allyl and the alk groups contain no more than 6 carbon atoms, and polyacrylonitrile.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
The kit of parts according to claim 2 wherein said biocompatible polymer is a cellulose acetate polymer or an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
The kit of parts according to claim 2 wherein said biocompatible solvent is selected from the group consisting of dimethylsulfoxide, ethanol, and acetone.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
The kit of parts according to claim 4 wherein said biocompatible solvent is dimethylsulfoxide.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 18 words
The kit of parts according to claim 1 wherein said contrast agent is a water insoluble contrast agent.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
The kit of parts according to claim 6 wherein said water insoluble contrast agent is selected from the group consisting of tantalum, tantalum oxide, tungsten, and barium sulfate.
