Abstract

Abstract A modular jack type electrical connector includes a dielectric housing defining a plug-receiving cavity open at one end of the housing. A plurality of terminals are mounted on the housing with contact portions extending into the cavity. A shunt bridges at least a pair of the terminals. A passive electrical component is coupled directly to the shunt on the connector.
