Abstract

Abstract Method and apparatus for enabling a local area network controller circuit to automatically select 10Base -T port data if the 10Base-T port data satisfies the IEEE 802.3 standard Link Test Pass requirement, and if the Link Test Pass indicates that the 10Base-T data is invalid, the controller switches automatically to connect a 10Base 2 or 5 coax port to the terminal.
