Claim 1
Independent Claim
101 words
A method of promoting repair of cartilage in a human or animal body, which comprises the steps of: introducing to cartilage requiring repair in said body a curable monomer/polymer composition, the monomer component having the formula I ##STR3## where R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, m is 0, 1 or 2 and X is a 3 to 6 membered heterocyclic ring and the polymer component being selected from the group consisting of acrylate and methacrylate polymers and copolymers thereof; and causing or allowing the composition to cure in contact with said cartilage and promote repair of said cartilage.
