Abstract

Abstract A biodegradable plastic composition for forming biodegradable shaped bodies which includes a poly-β-hydroxybutyrate having a viscosity of n A at 185° C. and a polycaprolactone having a viscosity of n B at 185° C., wherein the poly-β-hydroxybutyrate is present in an amount C A of 10-45 or 55-85% by weight based on the total weight of the poly-β-hydroxybutyrate and the polycaprolactone, and wherein n A , n B and C A satisfy the following condition: 4×10.sup.-3 ×C.sub.A -1.7≦log (n.sub.A /n B )≦4×10 -3 ×C A -1.3.
