Abstract

Abstract Disclosed herein is a process for the preparation of a reaction injection molded elastomer comprising injecting a reaction mixture into a closed mold via a RIM machine, with the ratio of components being such that the isocyanate index is from about 70 to about 130, said reaction mixture comprising (a) an organic di- and/or polyisocyanate, (b) an amine terminated chain extender, and (c) a compound which is derived from the reaction of a polyfunctional acetoacetic acid ester and an aliphatic amine having amino groups of different reactivity.
