Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to an improvement in armor structures through the utilization of at least one panel capable of absorbing kinetic energy. The panel comprises a rigid structure having a multiplicity of joined polygonal cells having 3 to 8 sides throughout the panel. The cells have individual cell diameters of about 0.1 to 8.0 inches.
