Abstract

Abstract A ribbon cable (2) for a hybrid branch cable (1) . The ribbon cable (2) includes a corrugated binder ribbon (30) which facilitates bundling and encapsulation within a tubular outer casing (50). The binder ribbon (30) is corrugated along sections which bridge the conductors (10-12 and 21-26) carried therein. The pattern of corrugations may be formed in one or both opposing surfaces of the bridging section of the binder ribbon (30) and may include a series of ripples, angled notches, rectangular notches, trapezoidal notches, etc.
