Abstract
Abstract A clutch structure for a fishing reel includes a clutch sleeve mounted on a spool shaft to be movable axially thereof between an operative position to engage the spool shaft for unitary rotation therewith and an inoperative position to rotate relative to the spool shaft, and a shift yoke and a rotary cam for switching the clutch sleeve between the operative position and inoperative position. An annular boss projects from an inside wall of a reel body for supporting the rotary cam. An annular smoothing support member is fitted between the boss and cam.
