Abstract

Abstract A composite nonwoven fabric comprising a staple fiber nonwoven fabric A constituted with a staple fiber of 0.3 denier or less and a staple fiber of 0.5 denier or more, the content of which is determined to a specific value, and a filament nonwoven fabric B. With regard to the fiber arrangement of the staple fiber in the staple fiber nonwoven fabric A, the proportion of a parallel component thereof against a surface of the nonwoven fabric is high, and the staple fiber nonwoven fabric A and the filament nonwoven fabric B are interlaced with each other near the boundary area therebetween, and the staple fiber of the staple fiber nonwoven fabric A is not deeply inserted. The composite nonwoven fabric has superior air permeability and water resistance and when deformation caused by bending or compression occurs, a leakage of liquid is not likely to occur.
