Abstract

Abstract A recording material, particularly a resin film as a recording material, used in an image forming apparatus in which a toner image is formed on the recording material and then fixed thereto by applying at least pressure to the toner image using a fixing rotatable member coated with a releasing agent is disclosed. The recording material has a base layer, a first resin layer having compatibility with the toner used greater than with the base layer, and a second resin layer absorbing a releasing agent. Alternately, a resin layer provided on the base layer, the resin layer having compatibility with the toner greater than with the base layer and containing a releasing agent absorbing substance.
