Claim 1
Independent Claim 57 words
A composite head comprising a ceramic slider body receiving a single crystal ferrite core exhibiting readback oscillation voltage following a write current, the improvement comprising: a thin coating of a dampening material secured to and covering at least 10% of the surface of the slider body in an amount sufficient to substantially reduce said readback oscillation voltage.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 57 words
A composite head comprising a ceramic slider body receiving a single crystal ferrite core exhibiting readback oscillation voltage following a write current, the improvement comprising: a thin coating of a dampening material secured to and covering at least 10% of the surface of the slider body in an amount sufficient to substantially reduce said readback oscillation voltage.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A composite head according to claim 1 in which the voltage of the readback oscillation is reduced by at least 20%
Claim 4
