Abstract

Abstract An optical apparatus comprises a first lens for effecting magnification change, a second lens provided more adjacent to the focal plane than the first lens for effecting focusing and correction during the magnification change, driving means for moving the first and second lenses along the optical axis thereof, detecting means for detecting the positions of the first and second lenses, and control means for controlling the second lens so as not to move to an area in which continuous in-focus cannot be maintained to an object at a close distance, during the movement of the first lens from the telephoto to the wide end.

Dependent Claim 111 words
An optical apparatus comprising: (a) a first lens for effecting magnification change; (b) a second lens provided more adjacent to the focal plane than said first lens for effecting focusing and compensation during the magnification change; (c) driving means for moving said first and said second lens along the optic axis thereof; (d) detecting means for detecting the positions of said first and said second lens; and (e) control means for controlling said second lens so as not to move to an area in which continuous in-focus cannot be maintained to an object at a close distance, during the movement of said first lens from the telephoto to the wide end.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 43 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: second control means for controlling, on the basis of position information obtained from said detecting means, the movement of said second lens so as to maintain the in-focus state when said first lens is moved.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said second control means controls the movement of said second lens by memory information.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 40 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: third control means for moving said second lens into the in-focus state, said third control means being capable of discriminating between the near focus state and the far focus state during out-of-focus.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 20 words
An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said control means controls the movement of said second lens by memory information.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
An apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said control means controls the speed of movement of said second lens.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 33 words
An apparatus according to claim 4, wherein said control means controls the movement of said second lens with the information of the focus state found by said third control means being added thereto.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 110 words
An optical apparatus comprising: (a) a first lens for effecting magnification change; (b) a second lens provided more adjacent to the focal plane than said first lens for effecting focusing and compensation during the magnification change; (c) driving means for moving said first and said second lens along the optic axis thereof; (d) detecting means for detecting the positions of said first and said second lens; and (e) warning means for giving warning when said second lens is positioned in an area in which continuous in-focus cannot be maintained to an object at a close distance, during the movement of said first lens from the telephoto to the wide end.
Claim 10
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 42 words
An apparatus according to claim 8, further comprising: control means for controlling, on the basis of position information obtained from said detecting means, the movement of said second lens so as to maintain the in-focus state when said first lens is moved.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 20 words
An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein said control means controls the movement of said second lens by memory information.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 17 words
An apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said warning means produces a warning sound to thereby warn.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 13 words
An apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said warning means warns by display.
