Abstract

Abstract A fountain solution concentrate for introducing a catalytic agent into lithographic printing ink. The catalytic agent is formulated into a catalytic fountain solution, transported via the fountain solution to the ink and infused therein to impart desired qualities to the ink. An organic titanate compound is used as a catalytic agent in conjunction with apparatus to initiate drying for preventing ink offset and producing clean, sharp printing. The concentrate does not require the addition of alcohol.
