Abstract
Abstract A head for ink jet recording and an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with this head, wherein the head has an end face that includes an ink eject opening having a thin layer of a polymer derivative compound of 1,3- or 1,4-bis(hexafluoroisopropyl)benzene, or 2,2-disphenylhexafluoropropane represented by the formula (I or II): ##STR1## wherein X represents ##STR2## Y represents hydrogen atom or methyl group, m and n represent 0 or 1, and when m is 0, n is also 0.
